Love Crime is the last film by veteran French filmmaker Alain Corneau, who passed away shortly after the film opened in France. A psychological thriller pitting two top executives against each other in a dangerous and sinister calculated game.
The acting is wonderful with great performances from both leads, the always solid Kristin Scott Thomas and the bright young star Ludivine Sagnier. I also loved the stylish set design along with the cinematography, both giving the film that classic mystery thriller look. The story however was a bit flat with not quite enough suspense and although the film is set up quite brilliantly, the ending was rather predictable.
