Catfish (2010)

Catfish (2010)

Genre: Documentary
Director: Henry Joost, Ariel Schulman
Starring: Yaniv Schulman
Duration: 87 min.
Rating: 7.0/10

In late 2007, filmmakers Ariel Schulman and Henry Joost sensed a story unfolding as they began to film the life of Ariel's brother, Nev. They had no idea that their project would lead to the most exhilarating and unsettling months of their lives.

Catfish is a fascinating film documenting the online relationship between a New York based photographer and a family in upstate Michigan.  I'll keep it short because, it's best if you see the film without knowing anything more.

I think Rich at FourFour did a scathing review of this movie. It's pretty funny how he gets into a frothing rage over it, though!

Reporting back in...slightly disappointed, but mostly because the trailer made some grand references. It was certainly interesting, but not mind-bending at all.
o0o0o I'd love to give my summary, but I don't want to be a spoiler.

The trailer certainly makes quite a boast about the last 40 minutes.
Definitely going to have to give it a go though, because that same trailer (IMDB) sucked me in; will report back. :D
