Irréversible (2002)

Irréversible (2002)

Genre: Drama / Thriller
Director: Gaspar Noé
Starring: Monica Bellucci, Vincent Cassel, Albert Dupontel

After the beautiful Alex is brutally raped and beaten by a stranger in an underpass. Her boyfriend and ex-lover take matters into their own hands by hiring two criminals to help them find the rapist so that they can exact revenge

Told in reverse chronological order, Irréversible is equal parts disturbing and disorienting.  Including perhaps one of the most brutal and sickening scenes I have ever seen.  The impact of this film comes from the realistic portrayal of realistic events.

It's done here for a reason. The central theme of the film is 'Time Destroys All'.

Okay, I think you got me interested in this one. From the look of posts on this blog I can tell you know your film, especially foreign, which is where I ended up years of watching anything worth watching domestically.
