Georges, who hosts a TV literary review, receives packages containing videos of himself with his family -- shot secretly from the street -- and... A family receives mysterious packages on their doorstep containing videos of them shot secretly from the street. They have no idea who may be sending them. The footage on the tapes increasingly becomes more personal and terrorizing. However since no direct threat has been made, the police refuse to help.
Haneke's masterpiece, Caché is a multi-layered work of art. The film is dark and disturbing, part intense psychological thriller and part scathing social commentary. With great performances from the entire cast, especially Daniel Auteuil as Georges the husband who is a TV show host.
