The Man from Nowhere from director Lee Jeong-beom, was South Korea's most successful film in 2010, it was the highest box office grossing film and took home 7 trophies at the 2010 Korea Film Awards.
Following the current tradition of high quality ultra violent action films coming out of South Korea, this one doesn't disappoint. While it's not a perfect movie, the story itself is not original, with shades of Leon, Taken, and Man on Fire, and the melodrama feels a bit forced at times, but the performances, and especially the action sequences are fantastic.

The storyline was good, the action also decent but I've seen beter. 8/10
Sounds good, I like these Korean films, they are becoming more skilled at these revenge/action films than Hollywood has ever been...
Hey, this looks pretty interesting to me. I'll keep an eye out for it.
F'ing bookmarked. I guess I am more inclined towards modern productions (be they action or drama or whatever) simply because they are much easier to find.
I dig these types of stories. I'll try to report back after watching. Nothing to lose. Nothing to compromise.
Now these are the movies that i prefer! It wants me to rewatch OldeBoy! Great find!
