The Two Escobars from Jeff and Michael Zimbalist, is a fascinating documentary that tells the story of the rise and fall of Colombia's national soccer team, and the two men named Escobar who played pivotal roles. This gripping and tragic tale, is told through a combination of candid interviews with relatives, former players, and jailed criminals as well as archival footage of games and news reports.
Although I am not a fan of soccer, I still found this a very well made, moving, and informative documentary. The connection between the drug cartels and the success of the national soccer program was something I was unaware of, and I appreciated the unbiased way in which it was presented. My only real gripe is that they could have used better music throughout.

interesting to find somebody else who saw this doco. i'm a big fan of football myself so i was happy to watch and was fascinated by the story. however didn't you feel as though a lot of it was simply hearsay? not enough clear facts? i did particularly love the fbi official and their actions.
