Happy, Happy is a Norwegian film and is the debut feature from director Anne Sewitsky.  It was awarded the World Cinema Jury Prize at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival.  It is a black comedy filled with some seriously awkward situations; for example two children, one white and one black, who 'play' a game of master and slave.

Although the actors were quite good, I didn't really find the story all that engaging, it was just too disturbing and not funny enough for a comedy.  What redeems the film for me is the inclusion of an unique element, interspersed throughout the film are scenes featuring a lively and well dressed a capella quartet performing gospel standards.  So weirdly out of place, this Greek chorus provides a fitting contrast for the dark theme of the film.

A solid first effort that could lead to some great things in the future with some better writing.

Now this is a nice contrast to Senna!

Lol, prudish is not a word anyone would use to describe this movie.

I just noticed that, they have the faces of the male characters in the film, and they do look rather creepy.

It does sound weird. And those are some freaky looking cherubim on the cover.
