IMDB
Bedevilled is the directorial debut from Yang Chul-soo. It is a methodical revenge thriller that develops slowly and culminates in a brutal and bloody climax. A good effort with an interesting and tragic setup, and a very well crafted first half where the director slowly escalates the tension with horrific abuse until the main character reaches her breaking point.
The film is burdened though with mostly flat characters, over acting, and a climax that relies on too many well worn horror movie cliches. A promising first effort, but not quite up to the standard of other recent offerings from South Korea.

Maybe because they are damn entertaining. No, I like your reasons better.
I'm curious, about what else is in that folder
I've been seeing a LOT of Asian revenge flicks lately. They're not necessarily new, but it seems like it's my destiny to watch them all. Maybe something bad is going to happen to someone close to me, and these movies are the templates that I must follow. Maybe someone will lock me in a room for years...
I added this to my "movies for mom" folder...and then I realized that there's a lot of gory movies in that folder about women doing all kinds of gory stuff.
Err, yeah.
Seems a bit weird to me
The best drama and glory movie ever!!!
