As you may be aware, over the past couple of months I have been trying to watch as many of the Best Foreign Language Film submissions as possible. To date I have only managed to see 28 out of the 65 submissions. I do have access to about a dozen others but unfortunately they are either without subtitles, or subtitled in a language that I cannot understand.
Earlier today, the Academy announced the shortlist of nine semi-finalists. The official final nominees will be selected from these nine films and will be announced on Tuesday, January 25th, along with all the other Oscar nominees.
Denmark, “In a Better World”, Susanne Bier - Winner
