I Am Love written and directed by Luca Guadagnino, is nominated for Best Foreign Language Film at the 2011 Golden Globes.  It is a beautifully filmed and wonderfully crafted story with an unconventional narrative that should have been Italy's submission to the Academy Awards.  Tilda Swinton is simply amazing in her role as a wealthy matriarch.

Winner of The 4th Annual LION Awards: Best Foreign Language Film.

TILDA SWINTON! <3

The shot with the portrait is absolutely stunning. Love the interplay of colors between the painted and real women.

Yes, there is quite a difference from my early posts to the current ones.  This blog started out as more or less just a diary for myself to keep track of the films I watched, or a link to send to my friends who always ask what I've been watching lately, and I never expected to get any following.  But over time it's sort of grown into a full on hobby.

my favourite parts of this was the poster and the cinematography, Tilda came a very close second. your posts were less like reviews back in December huh?

im enjoying seeing your evolution in reverse.
