Celebrated director Roman Polanski's latest film The Ghost Writer, based on a novel by Robert Harris, recently took home 5 awards including Best Film at the European Film Awards.  It is an extremely well crafted and taut thriller, even if the premise and the story are not very believable.  The cast were great, especially Ewan McGregor and Olivia Williams but it is Polanski's direction that really makes this movie, every scene is meticulously thought out and shot in perfect detail.

The poster is so badly photoshopped, jeez. But Polanski really has a gift for direction. I just wish he'd turn himself in already about the rape thing -_-
