I always thought it would be a little boring, but your review makes me believe that it's so realistic that it's hard to be boring. Maybe I'll pick it up during the next B&N sale. The scene where this Algerian woman drops a shopping bag onto some place with a bunch of French people. She then leaves and the bag explodes. I was in shock. It was presented as if we the audience are part of this conflict. This is definitely one of the best films ever made.Steven Floresnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-556159764413551252.post-19808892800378543702012-02-25T14:14:03.087-08:002012-02-25T14:14:03.087-08:00Hi, Bonjour and company:

A style I haven't replicated until 'Threads' came across the pond from the UK in 1984 and even that fell a bit short.

You're right. It could have been shot almost fifty years ago. Or last month. Which is a large part of this gem's power.Jack Dethnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-556159764413551252.post-89285517840588482522012-02-25T14:14:02.211-08:002012-02-25T14:14:02.211-08:00An epic movie, really liked it.An epic movie, really liked it.The Angry Lurkernoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-556159764413551252.post-57519619082969931932012-02-25T08:28:16.142-08:002012-02-25T08:28:16.142-08:00It is in the next films I am going to watch soon! ...It is in the next films I am going to watch soon!
